OJS at the Sens Mile Celebrity Chili Cook-Off!
It was cold outside but the OJS participated in the Sens Mile Celebrity Chili Cook-Off in aid of the Centretown community, children of Elgin Street Public School and the Jack Purcell Recreation Centre on January 16th. The team entertained some young aspiring hockey players with on-ice activities and an impromptu game of shinny. The event was an overwhelming success with the event raising 100% of the funds needed to re-develop the park!

OJS at Chevy Safe and Fun Hockey Jamboree!
The OJS participated in the Chevy Safe and Fun Hockey Jamboree held on Saturday, January 29th at the Jim Durrell Recreation Centre. The event was hosted by OJS Sponsor Jim Tubman’s Chevrolet with young TimBit and Atom players from both the Canterbury and South End Hockey Associations in attendance. OJS held both on and off-ice activities with the awe-struck youngsters and there were plenty of smiles all around! Congratulations to Tubman’s for hosting a great community event!

Robert Bateman Public School Rocks Jim Durrell!
An enthusiastic crowd of almost 500 strong saw the OJS and their three non-returning veterans off at the last home game of the season March 5th . The OJS donated tickets to the students, parents, and staff of Robert Bateman Public School in aid of their annual Food Bank Drive. By all accounts the evening was a great success, with Robert Bateman students donating almost 900 items of food for the Food Bank while the OJS defeated the Raiders by a score of 6-4. OJS over-agers Andrew Hampton (A), Derek Lowry, and Camron Edwards played their final junior game for the club and all managed to get on the score sheet! Good Luck and Best Wishes from your friends and family at the OJS!
