Martin most recently coached his team to the AAA ODHA 2008 Midget Championship with his Ottawa Valley Titans, followed by a bronze at the Provincials and then competed at the Telus National Championship. A high school teacher, he coordinates the Sports Exploratoires program at Louis-Riel Public High School. He led the High School hockey team to a city championship back in March 2008. Martin also coaches the powerful Ottawa Riot spring hockey team at the 93 level. Just recently, the Riot reached the finals of the well-known Prospects tournament in Toronto. Martin, who has been coaching hockey since he was 18 years old, was born in Marionville but currently resides in Embrun.
