COMMITMENT ALERT: Faisal Alsaif commits to Williams College

Ottawa, ON –  The Ottawa Jr. Senators are proud to announce that ’99 born D Faisal Alsaif has committed to NCAA III Williams College (Williamstown, MA) for the 2020-21 season.

Alsaif, 20, ranks third in defenceman scoring this season tallying 4 goals and 17 assists in 22 games this season in his second season with the Jr. Senators.

“We are very happy for Faisal (Alsaif),” said Head Coach of the Jr. Senators Martin Dagenais. “He’s made tremendous strides in the past couple years and has become an elite defenceman in our league. He was a big part of our championship team last season and we will be relying on him to win a third straight Bogart Cup.”

Alsaif has already surpassed his point total which saw him score 5 goals and add 11 assists for 16 points in 56 games of action. On the Jr. Senators playoff run, Alsaif tallied 19 points through 22 games in the playoffs, Fred Page Cup, and National Jr. A Championships.

With captain Owen Cole committed to UMass-Lowell and Tucker McIntosh committed to St. Lawrence, Alsaif becomes the third Jr. Senator to commit to an NCAA program.

“I am very excited about this commitment to Williams,” said Jr. Senators defenceman Faisal Alsaif. “It has always been a dream of mine to play college hockey. When deciding where to go, I placed a lot of importance on academics and given the opportunity to go to a school like Williams after visiting the campus. Talking with the coaches and the players, I knew this was the place I could see myself spending the next four years.”
