COMMITMENT ALERT | Tomislav Brennan commits to Owen Sound Attack

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Jr. Senators are proud to announce the commitment of forward Tomislav Brennan to the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack for the 2022-2023 season.

Brennan, 17, joined the OJS organization as the club’s third-round pick in the 2020 Bantam Protect Draft.

“We are super proud of Tomislav and his development within the OJS organization,” highlighted general manager Jamie Mayo. “Tomislav grew as a player and as a person quickly last year in his first year of junior and was one of the top 16-year-olds in the league. The sky is the limit for him and it adds another name to the list of players we are proud to have gone through our u18 level through Jr. A onto the next big thing.”

The Ottawa native tallied four goals and 14 assists in 45 games in his rookie campaign with the Jr. Senators. Brennan also appeared in nine postseason games, tallying two points, while also skating in four games at the Centennial Cup.

“I can’t even express the joy I’m feeling right now,” said Brennan. “To be able to join such an amazing organization with a great team feels surreal. I hope to contribute to the team’s success this year. It’s going to be fun and I’m excited to be a part of it. I cannot thank the Ottawa Jr. Senators organization enough for drafting and developing me to be ready for major junior hockey. I owe a lot to the staff to help shape me into the hockey player I am today.”

A former ninth-round pick of the Attack (167th overall), Brennan was an integral part of the shortened u18 season due to the pandemic. Prior to entering the OJS organization, the Ottawa native displayed a high-energy style of play, along with a quick and powerful release with the Ottawa Jr. 67’s AAA.

Brennan becomes the eleventh member of the 2021-22 Junior Senators to commit to a post-junior program, joining Zachary Bowen (London Knights), Jake Code (Aurora), William Desmarais (Ontario Tech), Sam Edwards (Maryville), David Mabey (York), Thomas Freel (Maine), Philippe Jacques (RIT), Bodie Nobes (Maine), and Simon Isabelle (RIT).
