The Junior Senators are very exited to announce that Forward, Cédrik St-Pierre has signed with the team for the 2025-26 season.
“I’m really happy to be here,” said St-Pierre, “the group is very fun and the boys have been super welcoming.”
The 2007-born forward was drafted in the 12th round of the 2023 QMJHL draft by the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and played last season for his hometown team, the Sait-Hyacinte Lauréats in the Quebec Collegiate Hockey League where he put up a respectable 21 points in 36 games.
The 17-year-old likes to use his 6’1″ 190lbs frame to play against other team’s best lines in a physical shutdown role. He also says he like to use a combination of his speed and physicality on the forecheck to be a “dangerous player” for opponents’ defences.
He is one of the many players brought in by OJS over the summer standing over 6 feet and with the skillset to play on either side of the puck, 5-on-5, powerplay or penalty kill.
As training camp draws to an end, he showed a great willingness to work hard to make a good impression in this new chapter of his junior hockey career.
