Jr. Senators announce 2021-2022 broadcast schedule

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Jr. Senators are proud to announce that the entire 2021-2022 Jr. Senators season will be broadcasted live on Hockey TV, the Jr. Senators Broadcast Network on Mixlr, and select games on CKDJ 107.9 FM for the fourth straight season.

Mason DetreDavide Disipio, and Ryan Woods will bring all the action with extensive coverage during pre and post-game shows, live interviews coming during the intermissions, and play-by-play of every game.

Detre, 25, goes into his seventh season of broadcasting in the league, having broadcasted for the Ottawa Jr. Senators, Nepean Raiders, and the EOJHL’s Ottawa West Golden Knights. He brings lots of experience in sports play-by-play, colour, interviewing, and social media. Born and raised in Kanata, Ontario, Detre grew up playing Minor Hockey in KMHA Association. After graduating from Holy Trinity in 2014, He joined the Algonquin College Radio Broadcasting program in 2016 where he began calling hockey and working in radio production. A hard worker, Detre has a passion for broadcasting and cares a lot about the team and players. He brings enthusiasm to the broadcast and always finds himself calling a big moment. He broadcasted the Ottawa Champions in 2017/2019 and was producer/host for the 2016 and 2018 seasons. In 2018, he called OJS’ victory in the Bogart Cup final and Fred Page Cup final.

Disipio, 21, enters his fifth season behind the mic, and fourth with the Jr. Senators. He is a graduate of Radio-Broadcasting at Algonquin College with honours and holds the program’s Top Sportscast. The Nepean, Ontario native began calling games in 2017 with the EOJHL’s Ottawa West Golden Knights and joined the OJS crew for the 2018-2019 season. During the 2019-2020 OHL season, Disipio was interning at TSN 1200 and was behind the mic with the Ottawa 67’s. He still remains with TSN 1200 and 580 CFRA as a producer and voice of the 67’s. On top of that, he is the Media Manager and Broadcaster with the Ottawa Titans Baseball Club of the Frontier League. Formerly an assistant equipment manager with the Ottawa 67’s, Disipio can also be found around the rinks timekeeping HEO u18 AAA.

Woods, 22, is also a graduate of the Algonquin College Radio Broadcasting Program. He began his CCHL broadcast career earning his high school volunteer hours with the Brockville Braves from 2015-2017. During his time in the Algonquin radio program, Woods performed play-by-play and colour commentary for the Jr. A Nepean Raiders, Smiths Falls Bears, and U18 Brockville Braves. He has hosted his very own Ottawa Senators podcast, “The Unparalleled Success Podcast” since 2019. Woods has also been seen as the host of the past two CCHL Bantam Drafts.

Before the CCHL enters its 61st consecutive season, continuing to be the longest-running Junior A league in Canada, the Jr. Senators hit the road for the Cottage Cup Showcase in Collingwood tomorrow at 10:00 am to take on the Blues, followed by a 1:40 matchup with the Trenton Golden Hawks.

The CCHL regular season begins with the Jr. Senators on the road next Friday in Brockville to take on the Braves.
