Jr. Senators shutout for the 1st time this season in loss to Lumber Kings

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Jr. Senators lost their second straight game on Wednesday afternoon as the Pembroke Lumber Kings took home a 2-0 win at the annual school day game at the Jim Durrell Complex.

OJS out shot the Lumber Kings 35-26 in the game but was unable to solve 02′ born goaltender Reese Proulx who was the 1st star of the afternoon tilt.

Goals from Alex Urbisci and Nicolas Guillemette 18 seconds apart at the beginning of the 2nd period ultimately proved to be the difference in the game.

“I thought we were by far the best team through the first two periods” said Head Coach of the Jr. Senators Martin Dagenais “We just didn’t show up in the third”.

The Jr. Sens are right back in action on the road tomorrow night, as they travel to the Benson Centre in Cornwall to take on the Colts.

The game can be heard on mixlr.com/ojsradio with Josh Primeau on the call and seen on Hockey TV.
