Ottawa, ON – On Wednesday night, the Ottawa Jr. Senators extend their winning streak to two games by defeating the Navan Grads 5-3 inside the Jim Durrell Sports Complex.

Vincent Velocci also extended his point-streak to two games with his third goal of the season and his first goal since September 21st against Brockville.

Head Coach Martin Dagenais said that the White, MacPhee and Bush line we’re really good.

“They weren’t lucky in terms of putting the puck in the net. I thought they had some good chances, especially White two or three times where he made some good plays and to get open. They did bring lots of energy, their physical, their in your face. So there doing their job making sure that their d-man are getting tired. We had all four lines rolling and that’s why we won the game.”

The Jr. Sens outshot Navan 30-22 and went 2-for-6 on the power play in the game. Josh Ward made 19 saves to get his fourth win this season. Ottawa is now 7-3 in the first ten games of the season.

Next game goes Saturday night inside the Jim Durrell Sports Complex when they take on the Hawkesbury Hawks. You can catch the game on Hockey TV or on mixlr.com/ojsradio.
