Jr. Senators drop Wednesday night tilt vs Hawkesbury

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Jr. Senators lost their 2nd game in a row on Wednesday night as the Hawkesbury Hawks came into the Jim Durrell Complex and defeated Ottawa 4-2.

Luke Grainger opened the scoring for the Hawks only 48 seconds into the game capitalizing off an OJS turnover, but Zachary Gravel got Ottawa on the board at the 9:17 mark of the 1st with a shorthanded goal. Grainger added another goal to cap off a 2 goal 1st period for the Hawks and give them a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Max Bush was able to find the back of the net for Ottawa to tie the game up at two 10:41 into the 2nd period, but ultimately Luke Grainger was the difference in this game as he completed the hat trick and the Hawks regained the lead for good.

The Jr. Senators are back in action Thursday night as they make the trip down to the Ed Lumley Arena in Cornwall to take on the Colts for a 7:30 puck drop. Josh Primeau and Mason Detre will have the call on mixlr.com/ojsradio and you can watch the game on Hockey TV.
