Jr Senators get some Offence from the Blue Line in Nathan Pratt-Vallier

The Ottawa Junior Senators are pleased to announce the signing of 2007-born defenceman Nathan Pratt-Vallier for the 2025-26 season.

He brings an offensive flair through his skating ability and a way of anticipating the game, traits that are highly sought after in defenders.

“My goal for the offseason was to add puck mobility on the back end and have our group move the puck north as quickly as we can,” said Jr Sens General Manager Patrick McCallen. “That’s one of Nate’s strong suits, his skating, his puck vision, patience and evasiveness.”

Pratt-Vallier proved he can contribute offensively in his last year of AAA, putting up 20 points in 35 games for the Kingston Gaels U18, followed by a respectable 44-game stint as a rookie in Jr. B for the Pelham Panthers of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, where he scored a goal and eight assists.

With his sights set on his Jr. A debut, Pratt-Vallier spent this summer rounding out the other parts of his game. “I read the play well, I’m good at anticipating plays before they happen and in the past I haven’t been the most physical but hopefully I can change that. I’ve been in the gym all summer to get better at that.”

His addition to an already capable and responsible D-corps adds a new dimension and possibility to what the team can create on the ice.
