Jr. Senators roll over Raiders in a high scoring tilt

Nepean, ON – The Ottawa Jr. Senators got back into the win column Sunday afternoon with a 5-1 win over the Nepean Raiders from the Steve Yzerman Arena.

Zachary Gravel and Owen Cole both found the back of the net twice and Felix Schnell stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced in the win.

The Jr. Sens jumped out to a 3-0 lead with 14:19 left in the first period thanks to goals from Zachary Gravel and Owen Cole and did not look back.

Assistant Coach Jamie Mayo liked his teams compete in the win “I really liked our game tonight” said Mayo. “We had a really good start and our guys were engaged from early on”

The Jr. Senators are back in action Wednesday night at home as the Navan Grads travel to the Jim Durrell Rec Complex for a 7:20 start.
