Jr. Senators welcome Sébastien Gingras as Director of Player Development

OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa Jr. Senators are proud to announce that former NCAA Division 1 player Sébastien Gingras will join the organization as Director of Player Development.

A Montréal native, Sébastien Gingras played three seasons as a defenseman in the CCHL for the Brockville Braves from 2009 to 2012. He won the Fred Page Cup in 2010 and was an assistant captain for the following two seasons. He was amongst the leading defensemen in scoring during his three seasons in the CCHL. He then attended Union College for four years where he won a National Championship in 2014 and was nominated for the NCAA Humanitarian award. He also graduated with a degree in Neuroscience with honors.

Following his return to Canada, he enrolled in the University of Ottawa’s Doctor of Medicine program with the goal of becoming a physician. He is now a Radiology resident at the Ottawa Hospital. Sébastien has been teaching hockey skills to kids of all levels since his early teens. He has a passion for teaching and a great love for the game of hockey. He is the son of former NHL player Gaston Gingras.
