Kyle Jackson named 2018-19 CCHL Rookie of the Year

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League announced Monday that Ottawa Jr. Senators ’02 F Kyle Jackson is the winner of the 2018-19 Rookie of the Year award.

In 50 games of action, the 2002 born Ottawa, ON native leads all CCHL rookies in Points (50), and Goals (21). He has also dressed in 12 games with the OHL’s North Bay Battalion, registering 3 points (2G, 1A).

Jackson is just the sixth CCHL 16-year-old to reach the 20+ goal mark in the last 9-years (since 2010-11), and becomes the first Ottawa rookie to score 20+ goals in a season since Dalen Hedges did so in 2010-11 with 22-goals.
