Late goal as the Junior Senators fall to the Lumber Kings 4-2

Brendan Browne scored the game winning goal late in the game as the Ottawa Junior Senators narrowly lost to the Pembroke Lumber Kings 4-2 in a home game at Jim Durrell Sports Complex – Arena 1 in Ottawa. Furthermore, Francis Boisvert came up big, stopping 17 of 20 shots throughout the game.

Brendan Browne had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jacob Kamps chipped in with 2 assists.

During the first period, Morin opened the scoring for the Junior Senators with a goal at 5:33 with a helper from defenseman Salloum. White answered for Pembroke with a goal at 15:33 with helpers from Emoff and Meininger.

In the second, Blacksmith answered for Ottawa with a goal at 6:51 with an assist from his linemate Guy. Falivena answered for the Lumber Kings with a goal at 16:22 with helpers from his linemates, Browne and Maika.

During the third, Browne scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:15 with assists from teammates Kamps and Meininger. Warnholtz quickly followed with a goal at 19:45 with a helper from Kamps.

This loss brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (44-8-2-5).
