Day two of the Jr Senators main camp featured games from all of our teams. The two teams that already played two games on day one (green and red) only played one game on day two, while the rest of the teams played two games. It was a long day with games going on until 8:oo p.m.
The day started with a 6-1 win by Team Black over Team Purple. The dominant Black victory started with a goal by Owen Traynor, followed by additional tallies from Jacob Christianson, Emile Thauvette, Jordan Graham, Clement Valette and Cedric St-Pierre. Mario Giannetti put home the only goal for Team Purple in the contest.
Game two saw Team Burgundy take a 3-1 win over Team White. Matthew D’urso scored a pair of goals for Team White, getting both their first and last goals in the game. Loic Bouchard was the only other goal scorer on Team Burgundy, while Jordan Perrier scored Team White’s lone goal in the contest.
In the third game of the day, Team Blue pummeled Team Orange 7-1. Gaven Dupont-Descarie and Justin Oullette each scored a pair of goals for Team Blue while Isaac Rice, Kairui Gardner and Karter Dube also got in on the action. Ethan Juneau potted the only goal scored by Team Orange in this game.
Team Purple played their second game of day two against Team Red, ultimately losing 3-1. Justin Oullette scored what would be the lone goal for Team Purple while Caleb Mead, Caleb Rashleigh and Merlin Offman all found the back of the net for Team Red.
The first shutout of the day came in game five when Team Green defeated Team Black 5-0. Ethan Butler and Gabriel Pollyviou scored a pair of goals each, while Anthony Chateauvert scored a single goal. Josh Scully and Edouard Blais combined in goal to create the shutout.
With the ice broken when it came to shutouts, Team Orange turned around and beat Team Burgundy by a narrow 2-0 scoreline in game six. Eric Kane and Luca Theoret scored goals in the game while Brandon Partrick and Calum Keating combined in goal for the shutout.
Team White and Team Blue finished the day out with a 1-1 tie. Kairui Gardner scored early in the game for Team Blue before Quinn Moskol found the response for Team White.
The quality of play was high across the board. After the games were finished, the players went home to rest up and await the announcement of the All-Star game rosters for the final day of camp.
