Ottawa completes comeback, but loses in overtime

Amherst, Nova Scotia – The Ottawa Jr. Senators dropped Game Two of the Fred Page Cup Round-Robin, 4-3 in overtime to the Princeville Titan on Thursday afternoon.

Ottawa now moves to 1-0-1 with four-points in the tournament, putting them in second place heading into Friday’s contest against the Yarmouth Mariners.

Matthew Newbury barried the overtime winner, giving Princeville the victory.

The Jr. Senators were down 3-1 late in the third period, and scored two unanswered goals in the final four-minutes in the third period to buy them at least a point.

Faisal Alsaif netted his second of the game, scoring from the point to make it a one-goal game. Then Kyle Jackson deflected in Darcy Walsh’s shot from the point into the net to tie the game in the final minute.

Ottawa was down to 11-forwards and 4-defensemen after Adrien Bisson left the game with an upper-body injury and Noah Rowe and Chris Piche received a game misconduct. Bisson was helped off the ice after he was hit in the head at end of the first period, while Rowe and Piche will each serve a one-game suspension.
