Kemptville. Ontario – The Ottawa Jr. Senators (28-11-2) defeated the Kemptville 73’s (16-22-6)  4-3 at the 2019 CCHL Winter Showcase on Tuesday evening.

The Jr. Senators improved their second half record to 3-0 and to 4-0 against the Kemptville 73’s this season.

Noah Rowe’s seventh goal of the season put Ottawa up 3-2 early in the third period. On the power-play, his one-timer from the point got through traffic and into the back of the net. He now has two goals and four assists against the 73’s this season.

Later on in the final frame, David Toppa scored the empty netter to make it 4-2. This turned out to be the game-winning-goal because Jared Patterson would bring the 73’s within just one (4-3) 15 seconds later. Toppa finished the game with three-points (1G/3A) in his second multi-point game this season.

Ottawa also records their second comeback win of the season. They were trailing 2-1 heading into the first intermission before going onto score two unanswered goals.

The Jr. Senators will play three more times this week. Ottawa hosts Brockville tomorrow before playing at home on Saturday against Hawkesbury and Sunday on the road in Nepean.
