Skilled seventeen-year-old forward joins Jr Senators ranks

The Junior Senators are happy to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Dax Kenney for the 2025-26 season.

Hard work and skill are the two qualities that stand out most when discussing the Kingston native. Kenney attended the Kingston Frontenacs training camp and is expected to make an immediate impact on the Jr Sens’ roster. His objective for his first year of junior hockey is to get his game to the highest level possible.

“My goal [for this year] is to see if I can get invited to some OHL training camps next year.” Said Kenney.

At the end of the day, Jr. A is about development. “We want to be the team that helps to move him up as fast as he can,” said Jr Sens GM Patrick McCallen. He went on to describe Kenney as a motivated player with smooth skills, a great competitive drive and the ability to fight through adversity.

A potentially OHL-level talent is never something bad to have on a team at this level. There is no such thing as too much skill and too much tenacity.
