The Junior Senators crushed the Colts 5-1

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Cornwall Colts with 50 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead early in the second on a goal from Darcy Walsh.

Elie Boulerice chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Darcy Walsh had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).

During the first period, Jackson opened the scoring for Ottawa with a goal at 18:22 with a helper from defenseman Bisson.

In the second, Walsh put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:16 with helpers from his teammates Pion and Rowe. Boulerice deposited a goal at 6:14 with assists from his linemates, Jackson and Hatto. Massie finally put Cornwall on the board with a goal at 8:37.

In the third, Boulerice answered for Ottawa with a goal at 4:29 with assists from Walsh and Brant. Walsh netted a goal at 12:58 with helpers from his linemates, Jackson and Boulerice.

The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Boisvert as he stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced. Boisvert’s counterpart, Carr, also had a big night, managing to stop 45 of 50, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (5-5-0-0).
