The Junior Senators crushed the Hawks 6-3

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Hawkesbury Hawks with 31 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Nick Lalonde.

Owen Guy contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Chiwetin Blacksmith did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Nicolas Guillemette chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Beaudin-Tougas opened the scoring for the Hawks with a goal at 4:55 with helpers from Guillemette and Cote. Mcgregor answered for the Junior Senators with a goal at 12:46 with helpers from his teammates Blacksmith and Bisson. Guillemette answered for Hawkesbury with a goal at 17:08 with assists from Craig and Nantais.

During the second period, Blacksmith answered for Ottawa with a goal at 7:44 with a helper from defenseman Thomas. Walsh quickly followed with a goal at 8:15 with assists from Daniels and Brant. Lalonde deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:32 with helpers from his linemates, Guy and Blacksmith. Guy scored a goal at 19:47 with assists from Pion and Thomas.

In the third period, Boivin answered for Hawkesbury with a goal at 11:01 with a helper from defenseman Besner. Veillette answered for the Junior Senators with a goal at 16:27 with assists from Bisson and Brant.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Hicks as he stopped 17 of the 20 shots he faced. Hicks’ counterpart, Petizian, also had a big night, managing to stop 21 of 26, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (36-6-1-3).
