The Junior Senators crushed the Lumber Kings 6-2

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Pembroke Lumber Kings with 54 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead early in the second on a goal from Griffin Mcgregor.

Zachary Salloum contributed with 2 goals and Griffin Mcgregor chipped in with 2 goals.

During the first period, Salloum opened the scoring for Ottawa with a goal at 5:23 with assists from his teammates Brant and Lalonde. Blacksmith netted a goal at 14:43 with a helper from Anderson.

In the second, Falivena finally put the Lumber Kings on the board with a goal at 2:01. Mcgregor quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:18 with assists from his linemates, Guy and Lalonde. Salloum scored a goal at 10:25. Smart quickly followed with a goal at 10:42 with helpers from his linemates, Pion and Manderville.

During the third, Weber answered for Pembroke with a goal at 5:48 with assists from his linemates, Warnholtz and Arseneau. Mcgregor answered for the Junior Senators with a goal at 18:21 with helpers from Lalonde and Thomas.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Hicks as he stopped 16 of the 18 shots he faced. Hicks’ counterpart, Smith, also had a big night, managing to stop 48 of 54, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (2-0-0-0).
