The Junior Senators defeat the Nationals 1-0

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Rockland Nationals with 28 shots throughout the game, to go along with Connor Hicks' shutout. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Silas Mattawashish and never looked back.

In the first, Mattawashish opened the scoring for Ottawa with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:49 with assists from teammates Veillette and Daniels.

The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Hicks’ shutout, as he stopped all 33 of the shots he faced. Hicks’ counterpart, Storr, also had a big night, managing to stop 27 of 28, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (27-4-1-2).
