The Junior Senators defeat the Raiders 3-1

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Nepean Raiders with 30 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead early in the second on a goal from Chiwetin Blacksmith.

Pierre-Luc Veillette contributed with 2 goals and Elie Boulerice did his part, adding 2 assists.

In the first, Veillette opened the scoring for Ottawa with a goal at 4:46 with helpers from his linemates, Boulerice and Walsh. Arseneau answered for the Raiders with a goal at 10:58 with assists from teammates Horvath and Tam.

During the second period, Blacksmith answered for the Junior Senators with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:19 with helpers from his linemates, Anderson and Mattawashish. Veillette put in a goal at 6:45 with assists from Daniels and Boulerice.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Carriere as he stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced. Carriere’s counterpart, Souliere, also had a big night, managing to stop 27 of 30, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (7-2-0-0).
