The Junior Senators defeat the Colts 4-2

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Cornwall Colts with 44 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Pierre-Luc Veillette.

Griffin Mcgregor contributed with 2 goals and Nick Lalonde had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 assists.

In the first, Mcgregor opened the scoring for Ottawa with a goal at 4:45 with helpers from his linemates, Lalonde and Guy. Mcgregor deposited a goal at 6:49 with assists from teammates Blacksmith and Bisson. Monteleone finally put the Colts on the board with a goal at 15:53 with helpers from Sandilands and Mammas.

In the second period, Theodore scored a goal at 5:19 with an assist from his linemate Maccormick. Veillette answered for the Junior Senators with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:13 with helpers from his linemates, Blacksmith and Lalonde.

In the third, Mattawashish netted a goal at 15:24 with an assist from defenseman White.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Carriere as he stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced. Carriere’s counterpart, Lascelle, also had a big night, managing to stop 40 of 44, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (8-2-0-0).
