Nate Ostridge Headed to Rimouski!

OJS Defenceman Nate Ostridge is headed to the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL after being called up last Sunday.

After going undrafted in the 2024 QMJHL draft, the Stratford, PEI native was invited to the Oceanic’s camp in 2025 and suited up in 10 games for them last season. Rimouski currently sits third in the QMJHL’s eastern conference (fifth overall) with an 8-3-2 record and a +22 goal differential.

The Oceanic are sending 2 players, forwards Max Brien and Matyas ÄŒutta, to the U17 World Challenge in Oakville, joining Team Canada and Team Czechia respectively. More impactful to Ostridge, they also lost two defencemen, Bemjamin Rioux and Luca Nappiot to injury.

Ostridge joined the Jr Sens this season and cracked the roster easily out of preseason. He wasted no time making an impression, scoring the first goal of the first Jr Sens game in a 4-2 victory over the Hawkebury Hawks. In 11 games in an OJS uniform before being called up, he potted three goals and recorded two assists, totalling five points, good enough for second on the team among defencemen.

Good luck in Rimouski Nate!
