The Junior Senators crushed the Braves 5-1

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Brockville Braves with 50 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead early in the second on a goal from Conor Smart.

Zachary Salloum contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Chiwetin Blacksmith delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Faith opened the scoring for Brockville with a goal at 1:57 with a helper from defenseman Hill. Salloum answered for Ottawa with a goal at 14:02 with a helper from his teammate Blacksmith.

In the second, Smart put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:34 with an assist from fellow Junior Senators forward Guy. Mcgregor netted a goal at 19:54 with helpers from Guy and Salloum.

In the third, Blacksmith scored a goal at 11:53 with assists from his linemates, Morin and Guy. Evans deposited a goal at 15:15 with helpers from Bisson and Lalonde.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Hicks as he stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced. Hicks’ counterpart, Evenson, also had a big night, managing to stop 45 of 50, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (7-3-0-0).
