The Junior Senators defeat the Raiders 4-2

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Nepean Raiders with 38 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead late in the second on a goal from Elie Boulerice.

Samuel Hatto contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Darcy Walsh did his part, adding 3 assists. Geoff Dempster chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Ryan Horvath delivered for his team with 2 assists.

In the first, Manderville opened the scoring for Ottawa with a goal at 9:00 with helpers from his linemates, Mcgregor and Smart.

In the second period, Clark answered for the Raiders with a goal at 6:43 with helpers from his teammates Dempster and Horvath. Jackson answered for the Junior Senators with a goal at 17:25 with assists from his linemates, Hatto and Walsh. Boulerice quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:50 with assists from his linemates, Walsh and Cole. Hatto quickly followed with a goal at 19:10 with helpers from Bisson and Walsh.

During the third, Dempster answered for the Raiders with a goal at 15:21 with a helper from Horvath.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Boisvert as he stopped 18 of the 20 shots he faced. Boisvert’s counterpart, Bateman, also had a big night, managing to stop 34 of 38, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (1-3-0-0).
