The Junior Senators shutout the Bears 5-0

Francis Boisvert posted a shutout, stopping all 27 of the Smiths Falls Bears shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead early in the first on a goal from Owen Guy and never looked back.

Owen Guy had a busy night with 2 goals and Cameron White chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Guy opened the scoring for Ottawa with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:38 with helpers from his teammates Mattawashish and White. White deposited a goal at 10:53 with assists from Boulerice and Veillette.

During the second, Smart scored a goal at 19:20 with helpers from Evans and Alexander.

In the third period, Guy netted a goal at 7:23 with assists from Blacksmith and Alexander. Veillette put in a goal at 10:07 with a helper from defenseman Mccabe.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Boisvert’s shutout, as he stopped all 27 of the shots he faced. Boisvert’s counterpart, Renaud, also had a big night, managing to stop 33 of 38, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (17-3-1-1).
