Brockville, Ontario – TheĀ Ottawa Jr. SenatorsĀ go to 19-11-2 on the season after a 2-1 loss to the Brockville Braves. It’s the third loss in a row against Brockville this month and were outscored 12-to-6 during that span.

It was an entertaining first period where both teams didn’t see any scoring but the Jr. Senators were the better team by playing very well in the offensive zone. Konnor MacCormick was able to get the Braves going by scoring the first goal of the game during the second period after a shot at the middle was tipped in by a Jr. Senators player.

The game-winner would come 20 seconds into the third period as Clay Korpi snuck in a shot five-hole on Bryan Landsberger to give Brockville a two-goal lead. Ottawa would get on the board to cut the lead to 2-1, courtesy of David Berube, who extended his goal streak to two games with his 14th of the season.

Brockville out-shot Ottawa 28-26 and Bryan Landsberger made 24 saves in his 6th loss of the season. The next game goes tomorrow night inside the Jim Durrell Sports Complex when Ottawa plays against the Rockland Nationals. Jr. Sens are still looking for their first win against Rockland this year.
