The Junior Senators crushed the Lumber Kings 7-2

Connor Hicks came up big, stopping 33 of 35 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead early in the second on a goal from Nick Lalonde.

Isaac Anderson did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Conor Smart delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Noah Maika chipped in with 2 assists and Zachary Cross contributed with 2 assists.

In the first period, Blacksmith opened the scoring for Ottawa with a goal at 7:47 with helpers from his linemates, Evans and Anderson.

During the second, Anderson put in a goal at 2:19. Lalonde quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:47 with a helper from defenseman Thomas. Brien quickly followed with a goal at 4:28 with assists from teammates Maika and Cross. Evans answered for Ottawa with a goal at 13:16 with an assist from fellow Junior Senators forward Walsh. Veillette netted a goal at 15:29 with helpers from his linemates, Evans and Walsh. Smart put in a goal at 18:05 with assists from teammates Pion and Mcguire.

During the third period, Kamps answered for Pembroke with a goal at 3:50 with helpers from his linemates, Cross and Maika. Mcgregor answered for Ottawa with a goal at 16:18 with assists from his linemates, Smart and Manderville.

The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Hicks’ big night as he stopped 33 of the 35 shots he faced. On the other hand, Hicks’ counterpart, Smith, and Pembroke’s defense had to remove a few pucks out of the back of his net stopping only 12 of 18 shots.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (37-6-1-3).
