The Junior Senators shutout the Colts 5-0

Francis Boisvert posted a shutout, stopping all 33 of the Cornwall Colts shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Owen Guy and never looked back.

Owen Guy had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Pierre-Luc Veillette chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first, Guy opened the scoring for Ottawa with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:30 with helpers from his linemates, Smart and Blacksmith. Boulerice netted a goal at 13:57 with helpers from his linemates, Veillette and Roy.

During the second, Veillette put in a goal at 4:48 with assists from his linemates, Anderson and Walsh.

In the third, Brant deposited a goal at 15:26 with assists from teammates Veillette and Walsh. Blacksmith quickly followed with a goal at 15:31 with a helper from fellow Junior Senators forward Guy.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Boisvert’s shutout, as he stopped all 33 of the shots he faced. Boisvert’s counterpart, Lascelle, also had a big night, managing to stop 27 of 32, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (16-3-1-1).
