The Junior Senators shutout the Lumber Kings 5-0

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Pembroke Lumber Kings with 46 shots throughout the game, to go along with Connor Hicks' shutout. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead late in the first on a goal from Owen Guy and never looked back.

Owen Guy chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Isaac Anderson delivered for his team with 2 assists.

During the first, Guy opened the scoring for Ottawa with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:39 with helpers from his linemates, Veillette and Lalonde.

In the second period, Evans deposited a goal at 2:45 with helpers from teammates Alexander and Anderson.

During the third, Daniels put in a goal at 0:50 with an assist from Anderson. Walsh netted a goal at 12:42 with a helper from Veillette. Morin scored a goal at 17:11 with assists from his linemates, Guy and Lalonde.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Hicks’ shutout, as he stopped all 27 of the shots he faced. Hicks’ counterpart, Smith, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 46, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (1-0-0-0).
