The Junior Senators shutout the Nationals 4-0

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Rockland Nationals with 38 shots throughout the game, to go along with Connor Hicks' shutout. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead late in the second on a goal from Pierre-Luc Veillette.

Finns Evans contributed with 2 goals.

In the second period, Veillette opened the scoring for Ottawa with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:53 with helpers from his linemates, Boulerice and Walsh.

In the third, Evans netted a goal at 2:31 with assists from his linemates, Mcgregor and Blacksmith. Brant scored a goal at 12:46 with helpers from Roy and Manderville. Evans quickly followed with a goal at 14:26 with assists from his linemates, Mattawashish and Guy.

The Junior Senators’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Hicks’ shutout, as he stopped all 22 of the shots he faced. Hicks’ counterpart, Storr, also had a big night, managing to stop 34 of 38, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (18-4-1-2).
